Charleroi & Vive la Fête, Charleroi

Charleroi is a city and a municipality of Wallonia, located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. The inhabitants are called Carolorégiens or simply Carolos.

For many years now, Vive la Fête has ensured an exciting musical party on stage. Since 1997, the Belgian band of Danny Mommens (ex-bass player of dEUS) and Els Pynoo has been bringing danceable electro-rock, with a touch of kitsch and some new wave and French chanson lurking in the background.

Hasselt

Hasselt is a Belgian city and municipality, and capital and largest city of the province of Limburg in the Flemish Region of Belgium. The Hasselt municipality includes the original city of Hasselt, plus the old communes of Sint-Lambrechts-Herk, Wimmertingen, Kermt, Spalbeek, Kuringen, Stokrooie, Stevoort and Runkst, as well as the hamlets and parishes of Kiewit, Godsheide and Rapertingen.

The story

Just a quick little trip to Hasselt, where I stumbled upon a carnival parade. This time with some gear I don’t use so often: the 10-year-old X-E2 paired with the razor-sharp XF 50mm f/2, which is a narrow 75mm full-frame equivalent field of view.

Tongeren is a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of Limburg, in the southeastern corner of the Flemish region of Belgium. Tongeren is the oldest town in Belgium, as the only Roman administrative capital within the country's borders.

The story

It’s been almost three years since I’ve been here: a sunny day in the lovely little city of Tongeren, this time with the good old Flek, which shines in black and white.
