Berlin 🇩🇪

Berlin is the capital and largest city of Germany by both area and population. Its more than 3.85 million inhabitants make it the European Union's most populous city, according to population within city limits. One of Germany's sixteen constituent states, Berlin is surrounded by the State of Brandenburg and contiguous with Potsdam, Brandenburg's capital.

Pairi Daiza 🇧🇪

Pairi Daiza is a zoo and botanical garden in Belgium that takes you on a journey to the five continents. You can see giant pandas, elephants, polar bears, orangutans and more, and stay close to the animals in their territories.

The story

Another sunny day, this time in a Halloween-themed Pairi Daiza: a beautiful zoo and botanical garden where you can literally pet pelicans, and animals have plenty of space to roam among visitors – when it’s safe to do so 😉

Leuven 🇧🇪

Leuven is the capital and largest city of the province of Flemish Brabant in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is located about 25 kilometers (16 miles) east of Brussels. The municipality itself comprises the historic city and the former neighbouring municipalities of Heverlee, Kessel-Lo, a part of Korbeek-Lo, Wilsele and Wijgmaal. It is the eighth largest city in Belgium.

The story

Following Wuppertal’s first attempt, this is the second one in Leuven using the Gold Streak filter. This time, I aimed for a vintage, grainy look with the good ol’ Flek and a black-and-white film simulation recipe. Conclusion: this filter is not for me

Camera lens:
Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f/2.8

Camera lens filter:

Wuppertal 🇩🇪

Wuppertal is a city in western Germany. It's known for its Schwebebahn, a suspension monorail dating from 1901.

The story

Some experimental night-time photography in Wuppertal: I aimed for a cinematic look, using the Cinestill 800T film simulation recipe, a 23mm focal length lens, and a gold streak filter to create an anamorphic effect with horizontal light streaks. I’m not completely satisfied with the results, so I might try some black-and-white shots next time!

Salzburg 🇦🇹

Salzburg is the fourth-largest city in Austria. The town is on the site of the Roman settlement of Iuvavum.

The story

Today, I left the very nice city of Bratislava, Slovakia, and headed for Salzburg, Austria. I passed through Hungary because, why not? The first part of the day was spent on the highway, and for the last 200 km / 125 miles, I avoided highways to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Alps before entering Salzburg. I ended the day with some night shots of this (also) nice city!

Oh, and I accidentally created a movie poster for The Omen Part 666… Can you guess which one?
