Maastricht is located on both sides of the Meuse, at the point where the Jeker joins it. Mount Saint Peter is largely situated within the city's municipal borders.

My second stroll with the tiny Samsung camera set to retro mode, this time in the overcast and calm streets of Maastricht.

Stolberg 🇩🇪

Stolberg is a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It has a long history as an industrial town and belongs to the district Aachen and the lower district court of Eschweiler.

The story

Testing my newly acquired, second-hand, 10-year-old Samsung NX Mini camera with the 9mm lens attached!
I needed a quiet, calm place to get acquainted with the device, so I decided to visit Burg Stolberg on this overcast day. I selected the “Retro” setting in the camera’s Picture Wizard, with a few tweaks of my own. It’s a kind of film simulation recipe, giving the photos a hint of sepia – just enough to feel vintage, though I can’t say exactly which era it evokes.
Unfortunately, my GPS tracker didn’t record, so no step mileage today.
